History of Israel Food Outreach

​For 10 years IFO has shipped dried soup mix, packed in 3 lb. plastic bags by Gleanings for the Hungry, all destined for the poor and needy in Israel.  IFO shipped nearly 30 containers, 42,000 lbs. each, which made over 30 million bowls of soup. The bags of soup mix were distributed through the dedicated efforts of 70 plus organizations who for years have carried on an outreach to the hungry in Israel.

 

In 2020, due to stricter Israeli regulations brought forth during the Covid Pandemic, we can no longer ship the soup mix. 

 

Therefore we are introducing an exciting NEW program.

IFO now helps the needy by donating various items, depending on what Israeli outreaches request.  An example of this is the contents of the 40 ft. container that is scheduled to leave for Israel in October:  blankets, shoes, eye glasses, eye glass cases, hand made adult quilts, lap quilts, knitted caps, scarves, baby blankets, sewing fabric, brand new shoes donated by Friendly Shoes, furniture, diapers and school supplies.

With so many Jewish people living in unthinkable conditions in Israel and

around the world, including innocent children, families, and elderly Holocaust

survivors, we invite you to join with us in prayer and financial aid to help

those of whom Jesus spoke, when He said, "whatever you did for one of the

least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."  Matt. 25:40
